George Lee Martin was known in prison as "THE HAMMER" and he is now the subject of the prison boxing film THE HAMMER aka Heart, Baby!

He received 40 YEARS for BURGLARY right after he turned 18. He started boxing inside (wouldn't you?) and became an undefeated champion.

NO ONE could knock him out. 

The Warden, US Olympic Team Coach and the Governor offered him a furlough to fight for the USA in the 1984 Olympics! He had one condition. When the men would not honor it, George refused to go. He chose prison over freedom. 

George became ill and got out early in 1993 on a compassionate release to go die in the free world. 

While making the film THE HAMMER aka Heart, Baby! we discovered that he was still ALIVE! 

While George was living as a free man, the FBI came to his house wanting information about a bank robber he had known in prison.

George told them, "Ain't my job. I don't get paid for that." 

They told him if he didn't give them information they would search his house, which they did without a warrant. They found a bullet and said if he did not share info, they would get him on a felony for a convicted felon with ammunition, which they did. 

George, as a free man, now has that felony on his record. Let's REMOVE IT so he can VOTE and do all the other things you can as a free man.
