I am just one of many teachers who are working on the front lines to care for the children of the essential workers during the COVID 19 pandemic. I am writing this petition to hopefully bring hazzard pay to the childcare work force. 

My team and I are doing everything we can to protect not only ourselves but these children in our care from COVID 19. We are at high risk of contracting the virus as we are exposed to the children of the parents who are working directly with COVID 19 every day. The government refuses to shut us down because without the child care workforce these essential workers would not have care for their children and would be unable to aide us in this battle with COVID 19. Yet our hours are cut and the majority of these workers only make minimum wage. We are essential workers for our economy to flourish but yet we are not appreciated. 

I am a mother. My school age children are at home waiting for me to come home to them every day. I pray that I do not bring COVID 19 into my home with my loved ones. Yet I am forced to go into the front lines without compensation to risk my health and my family's health with little financial support to show for it.

Please help me by signing this petition to give all of our child care workers hazard pay for those who show up every day to care for the children of these essential workers. We are essential workers, and deserve to be treated as so.
