We need a national Voter/Citizenship dual ID, with thumbprint verification. This would end any doubts as to who voted and when, it would also provide accurate vote counts on election day and remove any doubt the person that voted was legally allowed to as a U.S citizen.

Voters would walk into a secure voting facility, walk up to an ATM style voting kiosk, swipe their voter card, authenticate their identity with a thumb scan, then the machine would print the ballot in front of them and spit it out onto the table, they would vote and insert the ballot for scanning back into the machine and finally get a receipt with a serial # showing they voted and the paper ballot would have that corresponding serial # also. This system also flags ballots that over voted and rejects them and prints new ones on the spot, then asks the voter to vote correctly. It also asks the voter when they under voted if that was their intention, they can then answer yes or no. This system would have sealed/encrypted hard drives at the locations only and they would only be downloaded at a secure counting sight with multiple witness’ and the paper ballots as a backup too. So, nobody could hack the counts, one person, one vote.

If the voter cannot go to a voting kiosk, there could also be portable tablets, brought to them by (2) licensed voter representatives and let them vote that way, still secure and convenient. As for the small amount of early and absentee/overseas ballots that were requested, they would not slow down the Post Office and would be counted quickly when received.

What I have proposed above will ensure timely and accurate results very quickly after the last poles close. In doing this, no results would be released until every state has voted.  It would restore the trust in the election system and remove virtually any possibility of voter fraud.
