Attached is IGY Marinas' plans for the renovation. There is no date on the drawing. There is no plan for a restaurant. Hearing work will start on Millionaire's Row in November, then the rest of the Eastern side. Then why does the Maximo Seafood Shack need to leave 1 August? IGY MARINAS & BIXBY BRIDGE TRUTHOMETER This drawing has the date missing nor is there a project schedule. However, work is believed to start in November along Millionaire Row. Have asked Broadwater for the date of their meeting where IGY Marinas' stated Maximo Seafood Shack was staying. Will ask the City for the date the permits and drawing were submitted. Piecing together the timeline when IGY Marinas met with Broadwater, when IGY Marinas knew the Shack was no longer there, and how this coincides with April Fools Day. Aprils Fools Day is when IGY Marinas told Margaret she had until 1 Aug. IGY MARINAS REFUSING TO FIX DANGEROUS LOOSE PANEL ON MILLIONAIRE's ROW The covered slip at the corner of Millionaire's Row and Maximo Channel has a dangerous collapsed roof and a damaged corrugated side panel. The side panel is loose and flapping in the wind. The flapping is creating a much bigger loose area each time the wind blows. This disturbs residents in the vicinity — Both day and night. This is also a safety concern for the area. Especially with the recent high winds and summer storms approaching. IGY Marinas has no plans to fix this until the renovation starts in November. A code violation has been submitted by one resident and more are expected to follow. RESTROOM AND SHOWERS AT MAXIMO MARINA Boaters have been observed giving friends soap to wash hands at the restrooms in the Office Building. Visitors looking for a marina for their boat were seen checking out the bathrooms and showers. They were not impressed — Disgusting! The bathrooms are dirty and unkept. Frequently out of soap and towels. FILMING YOUR SHACK STORY Film crew was at Maximo Seafood Shack filming "Your Shack Story." Six people were interviewed. One found the Shack on Yelp. Several who did not wish to be interviewed were upset the Shack was closing. The film crew will return for an afternoon and a happy hour this weekend. Release forms are required to be filmed and signs are posted "Filming in Progress." If this is the way Bixby Bridge Capital and IGY Marinas treats the Shack then I will not return and not buy fuel here. Other boaters have expressed the same sentiment. ILLINOIS — Promises made to the proprietor of Maximo Seafood Shack by the lessor, should be promises kept. ST PETE — The seafood shack is a friendly refuge from the surrounding strip malls and brings character to this area like no other restaurant in the area. ALASKA — We love this place, great food and a welcome change from big chains. MARYLAND — Keeping a popular local restaurant as part of the newly upgraded marina would be a win-win-win for marina owner, restaurant owner and current and future diners. It does not seem to make sense to force out an asset that will most likely make the marina itself more desirable. TEXAS — Being from Southern California and now living in the Austin area, it is a pity to see these neighborhood businesses being destroyed by greed and avarice. These are the shacks whether it be fish or tacos that add uniqueness and fun. Who needs or wants another fast food chain or Red Lobster, Joe's Crab Shack, etc. You've got my support!!!
