Don't Let Drugs Steal Your Dreams ( Drug Abuse Prevention )

Don't Let Drugs Steal Your Dreams ( Drug Abuse Prevention )
The Issue
Our advocacy is mainly about control and reducing drug usage in the Philippines. Instead of using violence and fear as a method of solution in this issue, education, better and affordable rehabilitation courses, and active participation are what we want. We want our country to be safer by dealing with the root of the problem, such as a lack of education, poverty, and limited access to mental health services. This should be respected for the dignity and human rights of the people in our country.
We want to see our future where. Schools, Workplaces, and some community-based programs focus on preventing drug use. Rehabilitation centers and psychiatrists are staffed with affordable, well-trained professionals. Our law enforcement is focusing on the root of the problems. Lastly, to see a country where the people with power help us.
The action must come from all of us, especially the Government and policy makers, to create a better laws and to give more funds for rehabilitation and prevention programs. Law enforcement agencies can balance safety and avoid unfairness. Ordinary citizens like us can help by spreading awareness, calling for humane solutions. I know we can have positive changes, but we can only achieve them by helping each other.
This is important, because it mainly affects people. Not just one person in the Philippines, but also families. It can be a reason for family conflict, crime, and also being unproductive. And it also affects the health of an individual both mentally and physically. It often leads to anxiety, depression, and trauma. And it also harms them by causing long-term health problems when they reach a certain age. The most common is lung cancer. So a compassionate, strategic solution for this problem is needed to create a safer, healthier country. We need you, so we can achieve a better future.
