Hello,

  As a citizen of the city of Alabaster I have personally witnessed the need for our children's summer meal program. For some children that is the only meal they can count on throughout the summer yet the state has cut the program completely leaving children without the assurance they will be fed daily during the summer. The school board has appealed this decision and been denied in a time when more families are struggling and food prices are higher than ever. I hope this reaches enough people that something can be done about this. Our children should not have that burden or that struggle. Thank you for taking the time to sign and share. God bless!
