The residents of the 57th Assembly District are urgently calling for the establishment of an official Dog Park or Dog Run. Our district is home to many dog parents who may not have the flexibility to participate in early morning or late night off-leash hours at local parks. A dedicated dog park would provide a much-needed space for our dogs' well-being, socializing, and exercising. Furthermore, it would serve as a community hub where neighbors can get to know each other better. With over 600k registered dogs in NYC and 120k registered in Brooklyn alone (source: NYC Department of Health), there is a clear need for more dedicated spaces for our canine companions. We urge our local representatives to support this measure and prioritize the creation of a dog park in our district.
