Just this past week, the Dodge College Instagram account posted a reel featuring Tilly Norwood as she announces her 'visit' to Fowler School of Law to host "Behind the Mask", a symposium meant to dissect the many facets of AI in entertainment.

This post misrepresents so much of Dodge as filmmakers. We are people who love story and collaboration, and while innovation is important, many of us can agree that AI at least in this context is not the answer. The comments on the reel speak for themselves: people are angry, prospective students (notably screen actors) are now viewing Chapman as a lesser option BECAUSE of the account that is meant to PROMOTE Dodge as a good choice. This reel ultimately does not support Dodge in the way any content on the account is supposed to.

That all being said, some people will have opinions about the symposium and Tilly that don't align with the goal of this petition. That's fine, don't harass anyone over this, that only makes the divide deeper and doesn't help us. Share this with anyone and everyone you know at Chapman, every signature counts.
