Haunting Adeline is a popular "dark romance" book that romantizes serious crimes such as stalking, rape and abuse. It contains deeply disturbing topics that should not be normalized.

No official studio has been confirmed to work on the movie thus far, but author H.D. Carlton had announced that the book would soon have a movie adaptation. Filming is said to begin this October.

Turning this book into a movie opens it up to larger audiences, while it doesn't seem like an issue, this type of romanticized media can desensitize people to real world crimes. 

A movie where the source material features highly graphic portrayals of stalking, abuse, and sexual violence simply should not be made, nor released to the public.
