The unexpected eruption of water from the ground at the intersection of 14th and K streets NW has significantly improved the aesthetics and enjoyment of an otherwise dreary and lifeless space. The District Department of Transportation, in conjunction with DC Water, should make no efforts to repair the leak or otherwise cause a cessation in the flow of water. Further, immediate plans should be drawn up to make the Franklin Square Waterfall a permanent installation within the District's streetscape.
