Most of us agree our Nation’s Service Members deserve the utmost respect for putting their lives in harm’s way to preserve the freedoms we enjoy. We can also agree the generation of Service Members who served in Vietnam didn’t receive the heroes welcome they deserved. 

A highly visible way of conveying the respect these silent heroes deserve is to honor the service and legacy of the late Senator John McCain by renaming the 1100 NW block of Pennsylvania Avenue—the home of the iconic Trump Hotel—to “John McCain Way.”
