Justice for Patches and Lucky : Prosecute AV to the full extent of the law
The Issue
Who would have ever of expected anyone in the rescue community; a "retired" CO Deputy Law Enforcement Officer and alleged "Animal Advocate", would break into someone's house, steal their dog and injure another so bad he had to be put to sleep due to blunt force trauma from her body slamming the door open?! On Sept 29, 2015, that's exactly what happened and, unfortunately, more. READ BELOW FOR THE ENTIRETY OF THE STORY. Thank You in advance for your support.
In the beginning of September 2015 two German Short-haired Pointers,' Lucky' and a female with puppies had been rescued from the Roswell, NM Animal Shelter. Clare Wingfield of Ignacio, CO and founder of German Short-Haired Pointer Rescue of New Mexico had taken the mom and puppies. Fred Ellis an independent rescuer had adopted the one-eyed German Short-Haired Pointer, Lucky, who was believed to be the father of the puppies. Lucky was finally free and settled at home in Queen Creek, Arizona when Fred received a phone call about a week before Lucky’s disappearance.
The lady identified herself as Elaine Cramer of Franktown CO. Elaine wanted to adopt the one-eyed dog Lucky. Insistent, Elaine wanted to know when she could send someone to Arizona to transport Lucky to her in Colorado. Fred informed her that Lucky had a veterinary appointment the following week. Should he decide to re-home Lucky, it would not be until November that he would be ready for a new home. He informed her he had other dogs who had been
September 29th, 2015 at approximately 1:00 pm, Fred Ellis received a text from Elaine Cramer who stated she had a friend in town who was looking at some horses for her. She asked if she could stop by Fred's home and meet Lucky. On
At approximately 1:15 pm Fred received another text from a Rose Farley that stated she was in front of Fred Ellis home. He asked her how she had gotten his address and she replied, from Elaine Cramer. When Fred explained he was currently at work the text messages ceased.
Upon arriving at his home at approximately 2:45 pm. Fred came upon a horrific discovery. Fred’s home had been broken into. The front door had been kicked in. A receipt had been left pinned to the back of the door stating it was for Lucky’s purchase. Lucky was gone, along with a gun and an Ipad. Lying on the floor severely injured was his senior German Short-Haired Pointer 'Patches'.
Devastated he contacted the police and rushed Patches to the veterinarian only to be informed that Patches spine had been shattered in multiple places. Due to the severity of the injury, there was nothing that could be done to alleviate Patches suffering. Fred was left with the heart-wrenching decision to say goodbye to Patches and have him put to sleep. He then began searching for answers. What he was to discover was truly shocking.
Ex-Jefferson County Deputy Sheriff AV of Bailey, Colorado and board member of “Spoo Bell Weimaraner Rescue and the Littles” of NM aka Rose Farley was identified via witness who also identified the vehicle and the Colorado plate, kicking in the front door to Fred’s home. Along with credible witnesses in the neighborhood.
It was discovered the disposable cell phone that AV used to contact Fred Ellis was registered to a Minnie Leticia Bueno of Lake Havasu, AZ also a board member of "Spoo Bell Weimaraner rescue and the Littles" in NM.
Fred contacted Minnie Leticia Bueno of Alamogordo, NM who alleged unbeknownst to Lucky's new owner, there had been a secret Facebook group formed on Clare Wingfield’s page, where they planned the abduction of Lucky because of an 8-year old dispute between Fred and Clare.
Minnie Leticia Bueno also alleged that AV a confidante’ and friend was indeed at the home of Fred Ellis on Sept 29th and did, in fact, remove Lucky from the home by kicking down the door, leaving Patches to fend for himself.
Minnie Leticia Bueno further alleged AV drove from Bailey, Colorado to Alamogordo, New Mexico to obtain the burner phone from Minnie.
Minnie Leticia Bueno identified Clare Wingfield founder of " German Short-Haired Pointer Rescue of New Mexico” as a close friend of AV and stated Lucky had been turned over to Clare upon arrival in Colorado.
All of the women involved conspired to steal Lucky from his owner and are responsible for the Animal Cruelty and Abuse committed against Patches on September 29th, 2015.
We the undersigned, respectfully request that all who are involved be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. We demand the County of Pinal and any other governing authority involved, to investigate and proceed with a case against the accused as an indictable offense and if convicted, advocate for the maximum sentence possible based on the evidence presented to the courts.
We also demand that Lucky is returned to Mr. Fred Ellis by those illegally in possession of him.
Please help us get Justice for Patches and Lucky, dogs lives' matter and the owner really needs your support!
