CHANGE OF VENUE

On October 24, 2020 Jonathan Smith was shot and murdered by Cody Daniell. Cody Daniell is a local attorney in Cartersville, Bartow County, GA (has also interned with several attorneys in Cartersville). Cody Daniell quickly had a bond hearing on November 3rd. Daniell's bond conditions included not to be around or consuming  alcohol in addition, to not have a firearm in his possession. However, Cody Daniell has been seen on several occasions violating these conditions. This information has been brought to the District attorneys attention (at the time the DA was Rosemary Greene). Essentially, Jonathan's family and the local community feel ignored. We are worried no fair trial will occur if this case proceeds any further in this small town.   Jonathan leaves behind his wife Kelsey Smith and their two young boys. If this case moves forward the Smith's could not have a fair shot at justice being served. It is time to end the "good ol' boy" system and not have cases like these be swept under the rug, everyone deserves a fair trial.
