While a board member of the Rock Island-Milan Board of Education, Jim Bishop has recently made the decision to remove his child from District 41 and enroll her in Pleasant Valley High School in Iowa.  This action has promoted the perception that our district is in someway inferior.  Essentially, his decision is a vote of no confidence in District 41, including its school board, superintendent, administrators, teachers, and students.  Basically, he fired everyone connected with the district.  It is hypocritical and unconscionable for him to uphold his elected duties when he has cast a personal vote of no confidence in our district, which he should have helped to manage over the past 6 years.  Since the public cannot fire him, it is only appropriate for him to resign immediately.
