Living in the Colonies of Habersham Subdivision in Midway, Liberty County, Georgia should be a harmonious experience, and for many years, it was. This sense of community is now in jeopardy due to the mismanagement of the Sentry Management company, which has failed to uphold its responsibilities to the residents. \n\nOur roads are dotted with potholes that remain unfixed despite numerous complaints, leading to potentially hazardous conditions for our families and damaging our vehicles. Meanwhile, as our streets crumble, management seems more focused on enforcing fines for petty issues—fines that are often based on rules not properly communicated or items previously approved by the former management.\n\nThis unjustified enforcement extends to changes in our community's Covenants. Alterations are being made without consulting the residents, effectively stripping away our rights and silencing our voices in decisions that directly impact our private lives. Important notifications for meetings or inspections are not being sent out, leaving us out of the loop and powerless to contribute meaningfully to our community's development. \n\nThe State of Georgia has already acknowledged the challenges faced by communities like ours by passing bill SB 406, and with bill HB 1036 awaiting a vote, it is time to act. These legislative measures show that change is possible and that we have the support needed to reclaim control over our neighborhood.\n\nOur goal is straightforward: to dissolve the Colonies of Habersham Homeowners' Association and its current management by Sentry, ensuring no similar future associations can undermine our community's welfare. \n\nWe propose convening an emergency residents' meeting to discuss and vote on this resolution, ensuring all voices are heard and rights respected.
