It is time for Good Mythical Morning to be their mythical best!

In March 2022 Rhett and Link requested that their viewers submit meaningful possessions to be displayed on the Good Mythical Morning set for the purpose of replacing the old bass guitar of their college roommate Gregg Hartsfield. Mythical Beast Eddy Bowman offered his father's sword with a heartwarming tale of loss and comfort, and his meaningful contribution was accepted by the crew of GMM.

However, due to an offhand comment from Link about wanting their bass to be replaced by that of Alabama bassist Teddy Gentry, Good Mythical Morning retracted their decision to prominently display a Mythical Beast’s prized item --Eddy’s sword-- on the wall of the set.

Upon interviewing Gentry, it is revealed that he was not a Mythical Beast prior to this request and that he only heard about the remark through his son.

Despite the initial donation request toward the Mythical Beasts being deemed by Rhett and Link  a "community-building exercise," it is clear that the decision to place utmost importance on bassist Gentry rather than that of Mythical Beast Eddy does not build upon the contributions, love, and dedication of the Mythical community.

We, the Mythical Beasts, request that Eddy’s sword be proudly displayed where it belongs –not tucked behind a couch—but on the wall of the Good Mythical Morning set.
