Mattel bought Hit Entertainment in 2012, which also gave them the rights to Thomas. One of the original series writers, Andrew Brenner, was working at Mattel after writing Thomas magazine stories that were inspired for many classic episodes, so they made him a writer and producer again after so long. It went much better than Hit Entertainment’s Educational Direction, but then later on, Mattel made a new company called Mattel Creations that once again ruined Thomas, even with Brenner’s writing starting with the special, “Journey Beyond Sodor” to a new concept of Thomas himself traveling around the world and narrating the episodes, including ones with him on Sodor. The characters even had “Bouncing” Animation like in “Chuggington” and “Cars”. Some episodes were still good nonetheless, including the Special that celebrated 75 years of The Railway Series books by Rev. W. Audry that inspired the original TV Series in the first place. Then after Season 24, Mattel created a Cartoon Animation Reboot that was way worse and made the Hut/CGI/BWBA Eras more tolerable. “All Engines Go” is total bullshit, except for Neil Crone being hired to do Gordon’s Voice again like in the movie “Thomas and the Magic Railroad” and Bulstrode being reintroduced after so long since Season 4. Now I am thinking since Disney has the money obviously, they should take Thomas away from Mattel, add Seasons 1-24 (Classic/CGI/Hit/BWBA Eras from 1984-2021), Thomas and the Magic Railroad (Theatrical Widescreen Final Cut instead of the stretched version/Director’s Cut if they are able to restore it to the best quality), All Sing-Along Songs (1992-2021, including Rules and Regulations/That’s what friends are for) all the UK/USA Home Video Releases (original VHS/DVD variants up scaled to HD, and the ones from Seasons 6-17 in the original Widescreen Format that was reformatted in Fullscreen in The USA), Shining Time Station (Another Series Britt Allcroft made that had the American Narrations by Ringo Starr/George Carlin), and the Specials (2005-2020), and make a Revival Series with new Brass Models (Just like Seasons 10-12 before the CGI Era) since most of the original plastic ones needed constant repairs from time to time) and real people in the costumes in front of a green screen that has the model background and Real/CGI Animals. Even though I am American, it does feel a bit off to be more used to the American Narrations that they made for people to understand while it still had a British Charm, so I think both Versions should be included, but the Revival should only have a British Version like Wallace and Gromit and Peppa Pig (Except for Foreign Dubs like they’ve been doing for years). They should also hire back Britt Alcroft for Directing/Production/etc, give each character their own individual voice (Emily Blunt, Tom Holland, Natasha Bedingfield, Daisy Ridley, Sacha Baron Cohen, Chris Hemsworth, Hugh Jackman, John Boyega, Felicity Jones, Benedict Cumberbatch, Colin Firth, James Corden, Emma Thompson, Dua Lipa, Kate Winslet, Sophia D. Martino, The Kid Laori, Wunmi Mosaku, Florence Pugh, Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston, Harry Styles, Elton John, Martin Freeman, Ben Kingsley, Richard Madden as Donald/Douglas and Duncan due to them having Scottish Accents, Cate Blanchett, and other popular and recognizable celebrities from The UK/Australia/New Zealand that would be able to imitate a specific voice for each character. I doubt Ringo Starr would be interested in returning, but maybe they could use Pierce Brosnan again (He narrated in “The Great Discovery” and had a very soothing voice) or Mark Moraghan (Seasons 17-21). I do think that would make Thomas “Great Again!!!!!!!”, and make Rev. W. Audry and Britt Allcroft very proud once more.
