He worked for the city of Laredo for 10 years. Not only did they fire him but they also kicked him out of the home he rented for the city, and he willingly turned himself in. Yes, he was using city-owned tools to do side jobs so he can try to make ends meet. This is so unfair. Mario Escalera is an honest, genuine, hardworking man and was just trying to make ends meet. It’s unfortunate that he’s going through this very difficult time but I love seeing how many of y’all are willing to help him. This is why I’m starting a petition so that he can get a chance to redeem himself. Thank you everyone. God bless.
