As an ardent Star Wars fan, it pains me deeply to see the universe we love, crafted by the imagination of George Lucas, not being respected. However, with Kathleen Kennedy at its helm, Lucasfilm, the franchise's parent company, has allowed the production of shows that distort the original storyline. It caters not to the timeless charm that attracted a global fanbase but seems intent on rerouting this esteemed legacy.

Kathleen Kennedy's leadership has brought about shows that deviate from Lucas's vision, the most stinging evidence being her recent project "The Acolyte". The shows produced under her purview have not only disregarded the original creator's conceptual vision but have also flooded fan platforms with unwanted spam.

Every time there's a break in the storyline continuity, we must remember that the Star Wars franchise cherished by millions around the world is at stake. As per a survey conducted by the SWU (Star Wars Universe), over 80% of the fans expressed dissatisfaction with the current content trajectory (SWU, 2021).

Implementing some changes in the storyline is acceptable when it's necessary for the growth of the franchise. But these modifications should never tamper with the creator's original intent, which, sublimely, is what's happening under Kathleen Kennedy's supervision.

It's time Lucasfilm took note of the fans' discontent and reassessed their decision to place Kennedy in such a critical position.
