Discord Clans need better guidelines.

The issue

I am a passionate gamer who has weathered many challenges due to deeply unfair guilds and their nonsensical rules. The problematic practices in some guilds have caused significant frustration and inequality among gamers, pushing us to voice against such issues.

What stands out remarkably is the selling of guilds/tags. It's not only unjust to those who are exempted from the split test but also seems to defy the aspects of fair gaming. Interestingly, while selling servers or accounts is against TOS, the selling of tags somehow slips through the cracks. This discrepancy in rules needs to be addressed right away.

Moreover, my personal experiences and stories of many like me indicates that numerous clans/guilds demand their tag be "kept on" at all times. This rule comes with the threat that any violation would result in removal from the clan. Though partaking in a guild necessitates some identification, this forceful imposition curtails our freedom of self-representation and stifles our identities.

It's time to present all gamers with a level playing field. Gaming platforms like Discord need to take the lead in ensuring fair rules and regulations across clans and guilds. Discord can set an example for online gaming platforms by establishing guidelines against unethical tag selling and oppressive tag rules.

The call for fair gaming practices is not just about individual gamers, it's about the soul of the gaming community. Help bring about this much-needed change as we strive to create a better and equitable gaming world. Thank you for supporting this petition. Sign now to bring an end to these unfair rules.
