Disabled Veteran’s Lawfully Owned Car Gets Seized As Contraband.

My father is a disabled veteran with decades long career dedicated to several branches of the US. He decided to retire and move back to Kansas to be closer to his family. He rewarded himself with the car of his dreams, driving to Chicago to purchase his red 1959, hard-top convertible Corvette. While attempting to register it with the state of Kansas he was told that his car would be seized as contraband due to the VIN plate being changed during restoration. My father has been spending the last 4 years and his hard-earned retirement money, trying to re-claim his rightfully owned property. The law restricting him does not apply to him because no crime has been committed, as cleared by the FBI and therefore shouldn’t be considered contraband.
I implore that you overturn this decision and allow my father to enjoy his twilight years in his dream car, that he rightfully deserves to do after 50+ years serving the very government that is unjustly blocking him.
