Jacob Andrew Joseph LaTurner, born in 1988, is an American politician and a member of the Republican Party. He serves as the U.S. Representative for Kansas's 2nd congressional district, a position he has held since 2021. Before his tenure in Congress, LaTurner was the 40th Kansas State Treasurer from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, he served as a Kansas State Senator representing the 13th district from 2013 to 2017. LaTurner holds a degree from Pittsburg State University. His career also includes experience in managing customer relations at a premier rail company. His political career reflects a strong commitment to public service in various capacities within the state of Kansas.
