In April 2020, a fourteen year old boy was shot in the head and killed. Due to the task force's mishandling of crucial evidence at the crime scene, many clues were contaminated, undocumented, or left behind. Many witnesses were improperly investigated, inadequatley interviewed, or simply never interrogated; leaving the family with more questions than answers. This petition is to help bring justice to Kaiden Smith. The police department failed, on many occasions, to properly exam all the evidence, yet has continuously denied any foul play. Leads were not followed up on, evidence was left behind, and evidence was ignored or destroyed.

This was a homicide. A gunshot that took a fourteen year old boy's life.  Someone needs to be held accountable. Someone needs to hear Kaiden's voice. Someone needs to find the answers and solve this crime. Police investigators have been little help. It's Kaiden's family and friends who have been the real detectives. New evidence has been submitted, yet no legal actions have been taken. 

This petition is designated for anyone who has lost their child due to guns and hasn't received assistance in finding the one(s) responsible. We must dig deeper, keep these stories in mainstream media, and protect other innocent children from the same fate. We ask you to sign, today. Help bring the person, who did this, to justice. We will not rest until the police take us seriously.
