We, the fans of the Nevada Wolf Pack and the UNLV Rebels would like the annual battle for the Fremont Cannon to be played Nevada Day Weekend and not the last weekend of the regular football season.  Because Nevada Day is a celebration of Nevada entering the Union we believe having the game played this weekend will carry more weight as the schools are playing for the State Championship.  We also believe attendance will be higher and the atmosphere of the game will be more representative of what this game represents for the schools and their respective student bodies.
