There is a Sexual Assault crisis at Dickinson College.  Please help us.

A student reported a sexual assault.  Her attacker was found guilty, but given only probation. Dickinson took no additional precautions to prevent her attacker from assaulting more students.

So that’s what he did.          He went on to attack two more women.

Read The Dickinsonian article to understand the unbelievable situation on our campus.

The horrible situation these woman suffered through, because of Dickinson's incompetence now has revealed that Dickinson College's Title IX process is broken, has been broken for almost a decade and needs immediate revisions.

More than 200 of us came together immediately after the article ran and we will be staging protests to demand changes. Our first event is this Monday, February 3.  We need your help now to get started and to keep going.

Dickinson's Title IX problems include:

-   The College has been under investigation by the U.S. Department of Education and Office for Civil Rights (OCR) since 2017 for Title IX violations.  Dickinson refuses to provide us any details of that case.

-  In 2011 the College promised they would "install a system in the student union building that would report outcomes of disciplinary actions in the case of sexual assault."  They never did.

-  Dickinson promised to use the college’s Red Alert system to report cases of sexual assault.  Those alerts don't happen in each reported case and when they do are often useless.

-  Dickinson's Title IX cases drag on for months and their "investigations" are perfunctory and limited.

-   Survivors are routinely denied access to their own disciplinary file and materials in violation of both Title IX and the 2013 Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act (“VAWA”).

When criticized, Dickinson points to the sexual assault awareness training programs they have launched for students in the last two years.

What Dickinson's leadership fails to understand is that all of the education programs in the world are no help, if when a sexual assault occurs Dickinson’s investigations are perfunctory and drag on so long they destroy a survivor’s ability to get an education, their mental health and their right to feel safe and protected on campus.

Please help us by signing our petition today.

The list of changes we are asking Dickinson to make can be found on our Facebook page.

We have also started a GoFundMe  to support our campaign if you are able to donate, please do.
