Dichiarazione per la Vita e contro il Silenzio

Io,  uomo, donna, cittadino essere umano, non posso restare in silenzio davanti al genocidio che sta avvenendo.

Ogni giorno, ospedali vengono bombardati. Bambini vengono uccisi. Famiglie intere vengono cancellate. Il diritto alla cura, al cibo, all’acqua, viene negato. Si soffoca un popolo. Si calpesta la dignità umana. E il mondo guarda, e tace.

Taccio anche io se non parlo. E allora scelgo di parlare. Di dire che non c’è giustificazione per massacri sistematici. Che non esiste sicurezza senza giustizia. E che nessuno Stato, per quanto potente o protetto da alleanze, può agire senza rendere conto al tribunale della coscienza collettiva.

Sono addolorato nel vedere che chi ha subito lo sterminio, oggi permette che si compia, sotto la sua bandiera, l'annientamento di un altro popolo. Nessuna ferita giustifica un'altra. Nessuna memoria può essere brandita come scudo per il crimine.

A chi governa, a chi ha voce nelle istituzioni, a chi ha il potere di fermare tutto questo, dico: la vostra inazione vi renderà responsabili. La storia non dimenticherà.

E a chi soffre, dico: non siete invisibili. Non siete dimenticati. Le vostre lacrime attraversano il silenzio e arrivano a noi. E noi parleremo per voi, finché ci sarà fiato.

Per la vita. Per la giustizia. Per la verità.

Declaration for Life and Against Silence

I, a man, a woman, a citizen, a human being — cannot remain silent in the face of the genocide taking place .

Every day, hospitals are bombed. Children are killed. Entire families are erased. The right to care, to food, to water is denied. A people is being suffocated. Human dignity is being trampled. And the world watches — and stays silent.

If I don’t speak, I become part of that silence. So I choose to speak. To say that there is no justification for systematic massacres. That there is no security without justice. And that no state, however powerful or protected by alliances, can act without being accountable to the court of collective conscience.

I am heartbroken to see that those who suffered extermination in the past now allow, under their flag, the annihilation of another people. No wound justifies another. No memory can be wielded as a shield for crime.

To those in power, to those with voices in institutions, to those who can stop this: your inaction will make you responsible. History will not forget.

And to those who suffer, I say: you are not invisible. You are not forgotten. Your tears cut through the silence and reach us. And we will speak for you, as long as we have breath.

For life. For justice. For truth.
