Last year Diana's Bananas removed Bobbie and NeNe from their boxes. It may not seem like such a big deal to most people, but for Bob Carmody, the former CEO of Diana's Bananas it was his life's work making Diana's Bananas what it is today.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Bob Carmody a while back and he had informed me that Bobbie and NeNe not only represented him, but also, his now deceased wife Jeanine. After I heard this, it made me sick that Diana's Bananas new marketing team would make the decision to actively remove these crucial symbols from Diana's Bananas history.

Imagine if you worked your entire life building a local business with your wife, only to get erased from the company's history after selling it.

Now, I understand what you may be thinking; "Why'd he sell the company in the first place?" and the reality is that he wasn't doing as well as he used to and didn't have any living family to pass down the company to. He needed funds for his retirement.

When you take into consideration what position he was in, it's fairly clear that selling the company was the most logical conclusion one would come to, and you may even come to the conclusion it's the only opportunity to have a well managed retirement.

The only major issue that came with selling the company was, the company wanted to remove Bobbie and NeNe, presumably to make the project look more professional for investors instead of thinking about the fans and active consumers of the product; most especially, not thinking of Bob Carmody himself, the man who made Diana's Bananas what it is today.

The reality is that the only way we can bring back Bobbie and NeNe is by fighting for their return. Please help me in this endeavor to help a hard working former business owner maintain the history of him and his wife in the company's history.
