Dhar Mann is a YouTuber with over 17 million subscribers. His content focuses on feel-good stories about encouraging people to do the right thing and live a good life. However, people's views on him are mixed. Some enjoy his content, others absolutely despise it. I'll let you form your own opinions on him.

However, recently, despite his appearance of wanting the world to be good, it all has fallen down. One of his catchphrases "what happens in the dark, always comes to light." has been in recent irony. Dhar Mann has been exposed for unfair working conditions and wages. A video by @colinaborden on tiktok, a Dhar Mann actor explains the situation very well (see Source 3).

At the Dhar Mann studio, there is a culture of "if you speak up, you're out", which is why this protest has taken so long to form. However, all of the actors came together, and attempted to arrange a meeting with Dhar Mann (the person who signs their contracts) to try and fix their wages. However, after rescheduling and other issues, it became clear that they weren't going to get a meeting. with Dhar Mann. The actors said that the meeting will not happen until they meet with Dhar Mann. 

The actors asked for a time for the next meeting. Not the meeting itself, just a possible time. The actors kept reiterating "they'd like to speak with Dhar" and never got that meeting.

Because of their low payrate and Dhar Mann Studios not doing anything about it, they took to the street and started protesting on live (Source 1 has an archive), encouraging viewers to protest alongside them (Source 2).
