Develop and Enable multiple profile feature in Disney + Hotstar app in India
The Issue
Disney + Hotstar is a great choice for Indian audience with it's verity of regional plus international content. And with the rise of OTT platforms, we are ditching DTH services and Disney + Hotstar is a big player in it.
Coming to the problem, it does not have the multiple profile feature while major other OTT platforms has. Having multiple profile feature has the following benefits:
- Manage individual watchlist.
- Manage individual contine wathcing.
- Manage a kids profile to filter out adult content.
The platform has different subscription plans which is limited to number of screens can be viewed at a time.
The Hotstar team has to understand that one person cannot watch all allowed screens at once.
The things we want from the team:
- Multiple profile feature.
- Profile feature with kids profile.
While the team has promised this in it's FAQ section, but we are waiting for it since ages.
