I'm a student at Liberty University, and every morning I face the same battle: finding an available parking spot. This daily struggle not only adds stress to my university experience but also makes me late for my classes. It's a problem many of us students endure, affecting our educational opportunities and causing unnecessary haste and anxiety. 

Parking congestion is a common issue on campuses across the globe. At Liberty University, the lack of efficient parking management paired with its rapid expansion exacerbates the situation. Currently, students and faculty members circle the parking lots endlessly, wasting valuable time and contributing to increased vehicle emissions on campus. According to studies, inefficient parking searching during peak campus periods creates a disproportionate amount of localized congestion, a phenomenon that's experienced in Lynchburg every day. 

There is a solution that could improve this situation profoundly: the development of a parking occupancy application specifically for our campus. Such an app would allow students and faculty to check real-time parking availability before even leaving for class, reducing frustration and unnecessary trips around the lots. Many universities have successfully implemented similar technologies, leading to improved traffic flow and parking management. Such an app can also serve as an experience for related technology majors (such as Computer Science & Software Engineering) in creating applications with real-world implications.
