Get Richard Linklater to read my Bill Hicks script

Get Richard Linklater to read my Bill Hicks script
The Issue
I began writing a script on the life of Bill Hicks early this year after much research and careful planning. I suffered a mental breakdown around the same time and lost my job and apartment as a result and even considered taking my own life. I got the help I needed and while I may not be on the other side of it I have come a long way. A big factor in my recovery was writing, in particular, this script. I love Bill. In doing my research, I watched countless hours of the same documentaries, pored over the same dog-eared, tattered biography to the point where I could probably do some of his sets verbatim!
I finished the script early August and I've spent the past 2 months shopping it around but I've had 0 callbacks. So when I discovered that Richard Linklater was planning to write and direct a Bill Hicks biopic it was a bittersweet moment for me. I was ecstatic that Bill's story was going to be told because he was a really interesting person and while a lot of his material was pretty dated (I doubt many of you remember the New Kids On The Block) his message of fighting underachieving and holding a healthy scepticism still rings true and has a special relevance today. But on the other hand, I wouldn't have a part in it and all of my hard work would amount to nothing. I was pretty discouraged at that point, not going to lie. But that's when I had the idea to call attention to my script as a sort of Hail Mary, last ditch attempt to get it out there. A little unorthodox, I know, but that's only because I really care for this story.
My main goal is to gain some traction behind my script so that it may come to the attention of Mr. Linklater and his company and ultimately have him read it. That's it. If he doesn't like it and decides to go ahead with his own, cool. No hard feelings. If he does, even better and that's one less box to tick for everyone involved.
Thanks for your time.
