The issue

The purpose of this petition is to have the current Town of Port Hedland election result determined invalid by the Court of Disputed Returns under s.4.81(2) of the LG Act and a new in person election set by the WA Electoral Commission and/or the Town of Port Hedland.  The requirement of an in-person election reduces the possibility of fraud.

To be eligible to sign this petition you need to be a resident of the Town of Port Hedland and/or eligible to vote in the Town of Port Hedland 2026 Council Election.

During the term of the Town of Port Hedland 2026 election a male was recorded on CTV removing postal voting packages from letterboxes in the South Hedland area which is currently under investigation by the State and Federal Police.

There are indications from various parts of South Hedland of interferences with the postal voting system, which may relate the same person.  There are numerous allegations of residents eligible to vote not receiving their postal voting pack but on requesting a replacement pack being advised that the original pack had been competed and returned to the WAEC.

If you meet the eligibility criteria and believe that this election should be determined invalid please sign.
