I have an idea that I really hope people will get behind. ❤️
I think September 25th should be National Dolly Parton Day.
Dolly Parton is one of those people who reminds me that success isn't just about what you can get. It's about what you can give back.
She worked hard for everything she built. She came from very little, dreamed big, and turned those dreams into a life that has touched millions of people. But she didn't just take the success and run with it.She gave back. And she kept giving back.
She has put books into the hands of children, helped families and communities, supported people in times of need, and used her success to open doors for people who might not have had those opportunities otherwise.
She's never made being kind look like some grand, complicated thing. She just does it. Again and again. Quietly when it can be quiet, loudly when it needs to be loud, and with that unmistakable Dolly smile along the way. 🦋
In a world where we spend so much time arguing about who is right, who is wrong, who deserves what, and who we should be angry with, I would love to have one day that is simply about celebrating somebody who has spent her life trying to leave this world a little better than she found it.
So I'm asking for September 25th to become National Dolly Parton Day.
A day for music. 🎵
A day for kindness.
A day for helping somebody who needs it.
A day for picking up a book and reading with a child.
A day for remembering that you don't have to be rich or famous to make a difference in somebody else's life.
And maybe, just maybe, a day where we all put on a little Dolly, turn it up, and remember that working 9 to 5 doesn't have to be the only thing that defines us. 🎵🦋
I know this might sound like a crazy little idea.
But Dolly has never been afraid of dreaming big.
