Derby City Council: Proposals to charge for Brown Bin Collections
This petition had 1,701 supporters
In Derby, the Labour-run Council are proposing to charge £40 to collect residents' Brown Bin (and £20 per extra Brown Bin) that has been part of the regular waste service offered in return for the Council Tax that we pay. Derby has been the number one recycling City in the UK due to the support of its residents, who have embraced the fortnightly kerb-side collection system that has been in place for many years. The residents of Derby strongly object to the Labour Council's proposals to charge households for Brown Bin collections and call on them to scrap the plans.
