On Wednesday, January the 6th of 2021 an armed and violent treasonous mob descended upon our nation's Capitol building. Included in that mob was Ashli Babbitt, a former member of the United States Armed Forces; someone who had taken an oath to uphold our Constitution. Her service in the Air Force and subsequent deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan have entitled her to Burial Benefits at a National Cemetery, as well as Burial Benefits for surviving family members. As an insurrectionist who took part in an attempted coup of our nation's democracy, her presence at a National Cemetery would not only be a disservice, but a disgrace to the true patriots of this country that are buried in these hallowed grounds. 

As a 3x combat veteran, and the nephew, son and grandson of combat veterans, I cannot imagine being in the same cemetery as a traitor to our country. I cannot imagine having to visit the graves of my brothers and sisters in arms while having to walk past and see the headstone of someone who deliberately attempted to undermine everything they fought and died for.

Department of Veterans Affairs - We implore you to revoke any and all veteran benefits due to Ashli Babbitt or her surviving family members.
