Hello, my name is Thomas Brandt and I am a disabled, VA service-connected veteran at over 50% and a Washington State resident. I work in the state of Oregon and pay almost 10% state income tax for a state I do not enjoy most of its' benefits for and a property owner in Washington State. 

                  I am starting this petition with the clear objective of Oregon legislators to change the current taxation laws that allow for working veterans who are 50% or greater service-connected disabled to not pay state Oregon state income taxes. Veterans who are disabled can be out of work at any given point and for service to their country, it would be moral and ethical legislation to exempt disabled by the VA rating system of 50% or greater to not pay Oregon state income taxes. This applies to Oregon residents and OR-non residents who work in Oregon. 

                  Please sign my moral petition and show veterans in the state of Oregon you care. It costs nothing to sign and let our state legislators know how we care about those who have sacrificed so much for our freedoms.
