Jeepney modernization was imposed by the Department of Transportation and LTFRB to help the people commute in a hassle-free and safe means of  transportation. The Government should look deeply into it. Other jeepneys that are still functioning well should not be phased out. They can repair small problems within their jeepneys and everyday monitoring of it should be done. Next, the number of jeepney units would lessen and the fare in the jeepney is very affordable. Let  us also petition to phase out the old jeepney so that others cannot be affected. Also, how about the lives of the Jeepney drivers who are affected by that implementation? If the only thing that helps them in their everyday needs and serve as their source of livelihood, especially in the poor places, then we should not generalize the Modernization of Jeepneys in  the Philippines.
