Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications,

We would like your assistance in stopping the loot being done by Telecom companies these days. Couple of years ago, mobile operators made it a mandate to recharge with minimum Rs 23/- (valid for 28 days) to keep the connection active. Sometime ago, they stopped this recharge (Rs 23/-) and customer's were forced to recharge with a minimum of Rs 45/- or Rs 49/-. Few months ago, they stopped the Recharge of Rs. 45 and customer could only recharge with minimum Rs 49/- to keep their number's active. Lately, they took away the right of the customer by not allowing them to use Text service with a recharge of Rs 49/- including sending a text to generate the UPC (Unique Porting Code). Now, the minimum recharge "without" Text service is for Rs 79/- else recharge with Rs 149 (valid for 28 days) to be able to use both Calls and Text.

So, it's almost 650% increase within last 2-3 years and taking away customer's right to send a text is just not NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Requesting the Department of Telecommunications to look into it and provide a relaxation to a Customer pocket and NOT let these operators take away customer's right to send a Text with a minimum recharge.

Your urgent assistance will be appreciated in this matter.

Thank You
