Werrington Kangaroos - Western Sydney University

Thank you, supporters, for seeking protection of the mob of kangaroos on what has been the Werrington Campus of Western Sydney University (WSU).

A letter sent six weeks ago to the Vice-Chancellor of WSU expressing concern for the welfare of the kangaroos and seeking a meeting has not produced a reply - not even an acknowledgement of receipt. A follow-up telephone call to the PA of the Vice-Chancellor produced a statement that the letter had been passed on to others associated with WSU.

Still no word back from the Vice-Chancellor. Very disappointing! Cordial discussion to secure the welfare of the kangaroos seems discarded as does a national and international reputation for animal welfare seem irrelevant to Western Sydney University.

We shall persist.
