FREE LAMONT DADE: WRONGFULLY CONVICTED AND IMPRISONED FOR 14 YEARS.

FREE LAMONT DADE: WRONGFULLY CONVICTED AND IMPRISONED FOR 14 YEARS.
The Issue
Lamont Kenneth Dade, now 31 years old, was convicted of a murder crime in 2007 that he did not commit. He was convicted for the murder of Devon English alongside co-defendant Hassan Bennet. Lamont was placed at the crime scene, assaulted and coerced into a false confession by then well known corrupt Detective James Pitts of the Philadelphia Police Department which partly led to his now almost 14 year imprisonment.
He was convicted despite there was no physical evidence against him for committing this crime. He was convicted too based off a witness that was also assaulted by the same corrupt then officer James Pitts and forced to name Lamont Dade as the suspect. Both Judge Teresa Sarmina and DA Joanne Pescatore who served on the case back then was aware of Detective Pitts multiple misconducts since 2004 however, neither Lamont or his attorney was informed of that at the time.
The witness in the case came forth and gave the truth with a signed affidavit and confession letter to the court. Lamonts co-defendant was acquitted of all charges and released in May 2019 due to the misconduct of The corrupt detective James Pitts. Now it is time to release Lamont.
Lamonts case finally reopened in 2020 and there has been several court hearings where the commonwealth kept asking for postponements due to the lack of evidence. The next court hearing is set for May 2021 which will be represented by lawyer Todd Mosser in hopes for Lamont’s release and dismissal of false charges and misconduct in this case.
As a people we have to continue to stand up against this injustice. We have to fight to make a difference and speak up for those falsely convicted.
A Messsage from Lamont Dade:
It is a new year. It is time for my justice to be served. I am asking for any and everybody to sign this petition for me on behalf of my family and friends to help set me free. I take this life experience as a blessing. I have gained my education, took on numerous trades and jobs and I mentor the youth. I will continue to do all and more when I get home. Thank you for all the support.
