End Police Brutality / Publicize All Body-cam Footage

The Issue

We demand that the United States Department of Justice make it a standard legal responsibility for all local police to publicize ALL body-cam footage of any altercation that officers are involved in.

This would make it nearly impossible to cover up police brutality, which is currently tearing apart our nation.

Body-cam footage is often used to defend the actions of a police officer, but it is never used to defend the victim of unlawful police action.

By publicizing this footage, it will give victims a voice and also give a more full and accurate representation of the altercation to anybody who is interested.  This would allow people to clearly see what is happening.  Also, by publishing ALL footage, there is no bias in what is publicized, so citizens won’t overreact to what may be an extremely rare occurrence.

The citizens of this country fund the police force through their hard-earned taxpayer money, so shouldn’t they be able to see what these police are doing on the job and how they are treating the people they come into contact with?

If the police are indeed acting lawfully, then there should be absolutely nothing to hide.

The chaos needs to end. The riots need to stop. Change like this will fix this. If we all focus onto one thing that can fix the system, we can create a better world without police brutality and racial injustice.
