Jawar Mohammed is a Citizen of the United States who has a US-based media outlet. We believe his Media outlet is registered as a nonprofit organization and it is funded by US citizens and legal residents of the United States. Jawar is involved in violent acts or acts dangerous to human life in violation of the criminal laws of the United States and Ethiopia. He has used his organization (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, of human lives and property. He has used his youth group in Ethiopia and his followers in the US and around the world to incite violence in Ethiopia with the intention of accomplishing his political and extremist religious agenda. His action has caused the loss of lives, including the elderly, women, and children, and the destruction of property including a place of worship.
