Our Mother Earth is currently facing lot of environmental concerns. This problem is concerned for the betterment of our country. We all know that our country is prone to typhoons which can cause heavy floods in some regions. Poor drainage systems aggravated the impact of typhoons. We all know that there are still people who do illegal logging that has the effect of decreasing the number of trees in our country. Sustainable drainage systems are intended to regulate surface water runoff close to where it falls and simulate natural drainage as closely as possible. I want to push through this petition to ensure that waste water is transported neatly to disposal points, thereby keeping the environment well drained and free of waste. 

According to https://www.preventionweb.net/countries/phl/data/ there is high rate of disasters in the Philippines. 

Poorly maintained drainage systems and poor waste management habits can affect our environment in the following ways:

• Flooding - This can surely affect our country because it includes loss of human life, damage to property, destruction of crops and other plants, and loss of livestock.
• Erosion - If drainage systems are not well-cleaned, water can't flow properly and can wash away roads caused by flooding. 
• Diseases - Due to flooding, we can get infections from mosquitoes and insects which results to improper hygiene and having weak immune system. We are exposed to diseases if we have our environment polluted with stagnant water. 

The philosophical view that influences this problem is "Environmental Ethics" because it is concerned for the betterment of our country. Ethics is about choice to do good or not, and this petition aims to start doing something that will benefit our country. 

Here are some solutions for the poor drainage systems:

• Fix drainage systems. 
• Do an annual checking and cleaning of drainage systems.
• Proper waste disposal. 

For this problem to at least have a progress, I encourage everyone especially the department in-charge of our environment to make move for the improvement of our country. It is not just for where we live in, it is also for us who lives on it.
