Last week, the NSW government rejected One Nation’s divisive, harmful Education Bill in its entirety, including every recommendation that would negatively impacted trans students. I’m so proud of each and every one of us because together we fought bigotry and showed up for our kids. As a non-binary school teacher, this campaign has been very personal to me. Being unable to support my students, especially gender-diverse kids at a crucial time in their lives would have been impossible for me. I’m glad NSW teachers don’t have to make such a choice anymore. I hope nobody ever has to make such a choice. Thank you to all of you who signed and share this petition, thank you for emailing Ministers and showing up to rallies protesting discrimination and hate.
