Department of Education (Philippines): Strip Dr. Sadsad from her position as principal in Quezon City Science HS

The Issue

Dr. Zenaida P. Sadsad has been abusing her power as the principal of Quezon City Science High School for her personal interests rather than uphold the school's name, prestige, and quality.

There have been numerous allegations of corruption involving Dr. Zenaida Sadsad, including irregularities in the Parent-Teacher Association and QCSHS cooperative funds, the use of contests abroad for junketing, and even the solicitation of cash from non-passing applicants of QCSHS in exchange for their admission to the school.

In recent months, it was revealed that the students who enrolled in the Brainworks Review Center were "reviewed" using the actual test questions that were administered at the QCSHS Entrance Exam and the First Periodical Exam for a certain sum of money.

Those who enrolled at Brainworks and pay the full amount of P25,000 are assured of passing the entrance test and admission to QCSHS. This is cheating this is dishonesty; this will destroy the moral values, self-respect and dignity of our students in the long run.

The students and alumni are all victims as Sadsad continues to benefit at our expense, and we thus urge an investigation into these matters to hold accountable Dr. Sadsad.

It is a Virtue to know what is right and what is wrong. We are sure that the students know the actions of Sadsad are wrong. It is Wisdom to realize that the righting of wrongs cannot be achieved if we allow ourselves to remain trembling before tyrants.
