A Call to Implement Sex Education on SHS Curriculum

A Call to Implement Sex Education on SHS Curriculum
The Issue
The main motive of this project is to literate teens/adolescences about the importance of sexual education by implementing it through the student’s curriculum and other services that will improve young people's knowledge and their attitudes related to sexual and reproductive health and behaviors.
Sexual education doesn’t encourage young people to have sex, but it aims to develop the ability of the young people to make a decision that is healthy and respectful choices in relationships mental physical and emotional health. Sufficient sexual education helps them to develop a balanced awareness and to make them responsible adults of their own and to other genders. Interventions and programs that are delivered systematically will help teenagers understand about their sexual and procreative processes. Knowledge and advocacy for healthy sex decreases early, unintended pregnancy and other transmitted sexual diseases (STDs).
Sex education is meant to provide young people with the awareness, skills, and inspiration they need to make positive sex and sexuality choices across their lives.
Sex education must be part of junior high school to senior high school curriculum. So, our concept paper promotes sex education to be part of the DepEd k-12 curriculum for 2 alternate years. Teachers are provided with sex education instructions and are entitled to continuing instruction, resources and/or career advancement. Students are taught in schools in high performing sexuality. A systemic strategy is set in motion to ensure sex education and that the program of sex education is closely tailored to the students' needs.
