In light of what is happening in the world right now and what has been going on for a long time I wanted to use my voice and bring a positive change to our community. Maybe a small change but if it has the power to change the way people perceive white privilege and racism then I have done my job.

Racism comes from within and I think it is important to teach people to love and to accept. To teach children from a young age that we need to treat everyone equally no matter the colour of their skin. We need to stand together for BASIC human rights. 

Imagine teaching your child what to say if the police approach you " I am unarmed and I have nothing that will hurt you", imagine going to the store for groceries only to be choked to death and not make it home? This hatred towards black people is taught from young and it is important for future generations to not allow things like this to happen. We shall fight for justice for those that have died from police brutality, we will make our voices heard! But we also need to ensure we put a stop to this, to teach them that THIS IS WRONG.

Now I'm not saying we need to show our children the disturbing videos of how black people get murdered, but we need to raise awareness of black history and introduce black awareness into the curriculum. To raise our children with love and acceptance and most importantly EQUALITY. 

Keep #blacklivesmatter alive and let's educate not only ourselves but our children, to be better and to do better and to make this world a safer place to raise our children!
