This petition is important because the school system has belittled us students for far to long. A test should not determine if we succeed or if we go to the next grade. We no longer learn to have the knowledge of knowing what’s being taught but instead to have a better grade and pass the End of course test to be able to go to the next grade.

Many of us students are very smart straight A and A-B honor roll students but are not great at taking test. Test do not properly evaluate our thinking skills and abilities, they can’t possibly think sitting in front of a screen and answering 65+ questions in a timely manner determines how we succeed or how much we know. 

Many students are impatient and sitting and looking at a blank screen with no break can be exhausting our vision becomes hazy, our minds begin to think slower, and etc.

It is pure torture, how much longer until school systems realize we’re not animals but humans with feelings.
