More and more we see ignorance about the important role animals play in their native ecosystems, we see culling of snakes, lizards, and other reptiles or predators because Pop Culture and literature portrays them as scary, aggressive, or downright evil. Less and less we see people truly understanding what it is that these creatures do for us and our Planet, and when little is understood about something, little is done to care or protect. Even worse, when understanding is absent, fear, violence, and abuse often arise.

This petition has the goal of adding wildlife education to our school systems' curriculum with the ultimate goal of getting kids and parents alike to understand the importance of animals in their ecosystem, the impact not having has on people, and healthy was to respect venomous animals without harming or being harmed. Most animals would much rather run away than try to take on a human, even a child.

By teaching people respect for animals and their surroundings, we can protect our children and families without negatively impacting the beautiful planet we, and so many other species, call home!
