James Glenn Dipaculang started this petition to Department of Agriculture (Philippines)

The society nowadays base the wage of individuals according to their state of living and the job that they posses. They make the rich even richer, and the poor even poorer. One of this cases are the Farmers and their rights of living. They are not noticed just because of what they are called - "Farmers". Yes we admit, Farmers are having a hard time finding a better job for their livelihood because of their educational background but we also have to admit that without them nobody will suffice our daily consumption of produce and to the contribution of our economy's growth.

We need to increase the wage of farmers because they are the ones who supply our staple of consumption- rice. Farmers receive lower wages than the suggestive retail price of rice products, if said, they are the one who worked for it. They are the ones who supply the daily consumption of the community despite their situation. They work underneath the heat of the sun for a day with their perseverance to gain good harvest. They are paid based on crops they amass.

As analyzed, If their harvest for the day is plentiful and bountiful, so will their income be; if not, they will be rewarded poorly. We must consider that everyday is not a good day to harvest, and not to mention that their harvest depends on the seasons. Therefore farmers' wage must be right and justifiable.
